Innovation to the power of 3 - Think Tank for the first time joined project of SpoHo, TH, and UzK.

The last 3 months, scientists from all three universities developed projects with the aim to bring their research into broader application.

It was the first time, I was part of this exciting project and it was a great experience to see the initially rough ideas shape into concrete projects.

At the final pitching event last Thursday, the 4 finalists pitched their ideas in front of a jury and invited guests.

Eva-Maria Gomes Gomez won the 4.000€ price money with her science communication project "energytransition.explained".

Eva is a PhD student at the Cologne Institute of Renewable Energy and produces TikTok videos to debunk myths like "windmills are shredding birds", thereby reaching an important target group: people who are sceptical about energy transition.

• Uris Ros, working at the department for psychology on a slow-paced breathing app with biofeedback
• Michael Frank, working at the department of chemistry on water-preserving biopolymers for the use in agriculture
• Alexander Root working at the institute for outdoor sports on offering team building events for remote teams in nature for a good cause
