Doctoral Networks (DN) are funded by the European Commission as part of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). They were previously known as Innovative Training Networks (ITN) during the Horizon 2020 program. DN serve to promote transnational doctoral programs with various academic and non-academic institutions. The aim is to improve the career opportunities of researchers through international and interdisciplinary mobility and to strengthen the transfer of knowledge between the participating institutions. This is intended to increase the sustainability, quality, and relevance of doctoral programs.
