Research Conference Geosciences
GSGS Research Conference 2026 The Graduate School of Geosciences (GSGS) annual Research Conference brought together researchers and doctoral candidates to showcase the department's diverse scientific horizons. The full-day event featured dense scientific talks, and poster pitches ranging from Ecosystem Research and Micropalaeontology to Quaternary Geology. As a Transfer Scout for the faculty, the lively poster session offered a fantastic opportunity to engage with graduate students across these disciplines, sparking inspiring brainstorming sessions on how to validate their research in real-world use cases.
To highlight this transfer potential, the Gateway Excellence Start-up Center (ESC) proudly awarded the Poster Prize for Best Innovation Potential to Fabian Schemann for his outstanding work in geosciences didactics, "Transformative Learning for Sustainable Futures." His project impressed the jury by bridging complex environmental science with scalable educational frameworks designed to foster sustainable societal change, proving that deep scientific knowledge can pave the way for impactful, market-ready solutions.
